she is a new student at Usagi's school, who although quiet, is befriended by Usagi, thinking Ami
was from the Dark Kingdom. However, when Ami forgets her disk for her cram school, Usagi
crashes the course and finds that as a youma is attacking the blue-haired girl, the sign of
Mercury appears on her forehead. Luna gives her her henshin wand and Mercury transforms.

bloodtype is A and she likes Reading and Chess. Her dream is to become a doctor
just like her mother, although she fears love letters, since she is rather shy.
Her favorite color is blue(I think it's because that is her color as a senshi)
and she just basically loves school. Her favorite foods are sandwiches because
she can carry them anywhere and eat them while she's working on the computer.
As a senshi, Mercury, would be considered weak by many people, but that's
totally misunderstood. Unlike other senshi, her powers are defensive, not
offensive, very important for those grand entrances and to keep the enemies from attacking back. Although she might have weak offensive powers compared to the others, she
uses her brain to make the most of them. She is even credited as the most
popular of the senshi next to Sailor Moon if not the first.
Ami says this to transform in Sailor Mercury, using the transformation pen
given to her by Luna. The sign of Mercury starts spinning from the top of the
pen, then turns her into a transparent figure. Blue wavy lines come from the
pen, then surrounds her as she twirls. On a background of black, the lines
sort of burst into blue light which clears and shows her as Sailor Mercury, who
gives a quick pose.
This is Ami's transformation into Sailor Mercury during the second season
(Sailor MoonR). She uses a new henshin wand, given to her by Luna when she's
about to leave(of course, she can't go and saves the others
who are trapped in a blizzard inside a refrigerator thing). It's not much
different from her first transformation, except that when she's posing at the
end, a sign of Mercury appears in the back. Also, in the beginning, her nails
glow blue and she sorta' catches her henshin wand as it appears spinning in the
middle of her hand.
Ami says this to transform into Super Sailor Mercury using her new henshin wand, given to her by Helios. The only difference is the beginning in which her henshin wand appears, then suddenly she appears just as she is about to pose. As she poses, a pretty blue harp is in the background. In her special, however, we see a more elaborate transformation that is unique in that she is the only soldier to have a super transformation where she becomes transparent.
Princess Mercury
although this form was only seen in the manga, it is clearly said in the
anime
Her first attack, she creates this ball of energy between her hands, then
crosses her arms and bubbles go everywhere and blankets the place with fog
so that the enemy can't see them. (The first time I saw it on Dic, I thought
the use of bubbles was totally lame. Shabon sounds way better).
VR Visor and Mini Computer
These two are connected since the mini computer analyzes what the visor
is seeing. The mini computer, though is destroyed at the end of the first series.
Shabon Spray Freezing *Mercury Bubbles Freeze!
She does exactly what she does in Shabon Spray, but this time, the youma
gets frozen. This was actually used only twice.
As a drop of water falls at her feet(probably to show that there's water
there) water droplets spiral around her and gathers above her head, at which she
crosses her arms, then as she opens them, the water goes flying at the enemy.
She used this during Sailor Moon R.

of water as she spins around, then the ball just suddenly explodes toward the enemy.
