Kino Makoto

Who is Sailor Jupiter?:

She is fourteen year old Kino Makoto, Wisdom of the Woods, or Mako-chan to the rest of the girls. When we first meet her, she has just moved to Juuban Junior High where Usagi goes to school. Despite Makoto's reputation as being hostile, Usagi befriends her and finds out that although Makoto is eager to fight, she was still a rather loyal person. Later, when the Dark Kingdom attempts to retrieve a rainbow crystal (nijizuishou) Mako-chan attacks the youma and as she lifts him above her head, the sign of Jupiter appears on her forehead. Luna gives her her Henshin wand and she transforms into the soldier of protection, Sailor Jupiter.

As Makoto, her birthday is on December 5 and she is a saggitarius. Her bloodtype is O and her personality is described as very faithful to Usagi. Her favorites include home economics as a subject since she loves to cook; the bird for an animal; pink and green for her fave colors(her manga and anime senshi colors); and cherry pie and meatloaf for her favorite foods. She dislikes Physics and airplanes since her parents died long ago in a plane crash. One thing about her is that she is one of at least two senshi (the other being Ami/Sailor Mercury) whose first appearance is actually in the Sailor V comic when she is on a train to Tokyo. Her love life is one of the little quirks in both the manga and anime since it is a totally different side from her fierce, warrior outlook. In both the anime and manga, Mako-chan first arrives with her heart broken by an old boyfriend. In the anime, she often finds that many of her new acquintances happen to resemble her ex. In the manga, she, like Minako, is impatient to have a boyfriend and even dreams to become a bride.

As a senshi, Jupiter is the most powerful of the inners during the first and second season of Sailor Moon. Wielding the elements of wood and lightning, Jupiter is both physically and magically powerful. One thing that many people would realize as they watch her, is that she is very loyal to Sailor Moon and she shows this during the last episode of the first season of Sailor Moon, since she is the first to give up her life for the senshi.

Transformations and Forms

Jupiter Power! Make-up! *Jupiter Power!
Makoto says this to become her first transformation as Sailor Jupiter using her first henshin wand. As she says her henshin phrase, she raises the wand into the air and the Jupiter sign spins and goes off to the screen. Lightning surrounds in an atom shape then explodes. Her boots are the first to appear as she spins, then gives a quick pose.
Jupiter Star Power! Make Up! *Jupiter Star Power!
Her second and more powerful version of Sailor Jupiter, everything is the same except for the beginning in which she raises her hand and glittery stuff goes to her nails making them glow a dark green color (I adore the color her nails become when it glows.) Her second henshin wand appears spinning in the middle of her hands and she catches it. At the end, she poses the same and a glowing sign of Jupiter appears behind her.
Jupiter Crystal Power! Make-up!
She says this to transform into Super Sailor Jupiter with the use of a henshin wand that looks a lot like the handle of Chibi-Moon's Carillion thing. This is a short sequence where I don't understand the beginning, but I know there is no middle and ends with her posing and a laurel wreath behind her glows.
Princess Jupiter
Only seen in the manga, this is her form on the Silver Millenium as part of Serenity's court.

Attacks and Abilities

Supreme Thunder *Jupiter Thunder Crash!
Her first attack as Sailor Jupiter, she crosses her arms and a little rod appears at the top of her tiara (in the manga, this rod was always there when she was Jupiter.) Lightning shoots down from the sky and gathers at the rod where it creates a hollow circle with lighning coming from the center of the circle to the edge. As she uncrosses her arms, the lightning flies toward the enemy.
Jupiter Supreme Thunder Dragon *Jupiter Thunder Dragon!
One of the coolest attacks in the anime, she does the same exact thing she does for the Supreme Thunder, except at the end when the lightning flies at the enemy, it creates a huge dragon which engulfs the enemy instead of shooting toward it.
Sparkling Wide Pressure *Jupiter Thunderbolt! Zap!
This is when a huge thundercloud appears behind her and she kinda claps her hands at the beginning of the sequence. Lightning gathers on her right hand and she throws it at the enemy. Although this attack is supposedly more powerful than the Supreme thunder, it looks kinda weak. Even Mercury's attack looks more powerful.
Jupiter Oak Evolution
This is her only attack that suggests that her power includes that of the wood element. She spins in mid air like a skater as glowing green leaves fly toward the enemy
